Principal accountant at Voedsel Capital Limited in Kado, Abuja (FCT)

Role summary 

We are looking for a highly proficient and inspired Principal accountant to join our team and support to our resumed success.

Primary duties

• Organize, evaluate, and show every month, every quarter, and yearly balance sheet and income statement using QuickBooks
• Formulate and preserve accounting rules and standardized processes, making sure adherence possessing applicable compliance guidelines.
• Calculation of taxes(WHT, PIT,VAT)
• Project setup of Financial funding and Clients timetable
• Work alongside HR on wage processing-associated duty, which includes employee perks and statutory conclusions.
• Supervise finance reporting, financial planning, and predicting methods.
• Organize and evaluate balance sheet and income statement in adherence with account guidelines
• Oversee general ledger initiatives, making sure precision and timeliness.
• Carry out audits and guarantee adherence with compliance obligations
• Train and mentor entry-level accounting employees.

Credentials

• At least Bsc in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field ICAN or equivalent accreditation preferred.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting expertise, ideally in finance or banking sector.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, finance reporting, and tax rules.
• Competence in financial system (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Outstanding logical, issue resolution, and planning abilities.
• Clear expression competencies and capability to operate in a dynamic environment.
