Position Overview

- Assist the State Health Education officer to productively head and organize Polio SBC interventions of all GPEI associates across the state.
- Engage in state/ LGA/ Ward IPD executive team initiatives geared towards successfully executing SIAs.
- Assist evidence production and evaluation to guide organizing, execution, and supervising of local and culturally applicable strategic SBC interventions at group, ward, LGA and State levels.
- Ensure development of evidence based LGA specific ACSM Action Strategies for Polio SIAs. Track the advancement of programme initiatives, making sure that they are in sync with national guidelines and procedures Design and execute framed plans to reach hard-to-reach, nomadic, and minority groups at LGA, district, and ward levels.
- Actively engage in all national and state-level pre-marketing organizing sessions, development sessions, etc as suitable. Assist capacity strengthening of State/ LGA/ Ward employees and group systems, which includes VCM networks in community-related mobilization initiatives, which includes interpersonal verbal abilities.
- Support with LGA/ Ward policymakers and religious and traditional executive guidance to mobilize assist for execution of Polio marketing / Standard procedure Immunization and other sectoral interventions. groups for their participation and involvement in polio eradication and other UNICEF initiatives.
- Engage in organizing and executing media and information exchange initiatives and operating with media groups and networks for managing UNICEF-helped programs during SIPDs and other marketing.
- Carry out helpful oversight of LGA facilitators and the VCM network in their cluster of LGAs inside the responsibility structure and ensure initiatives are executed productively.
- In synchronization with UNICEF site Workspaces, ensure and documentation efficient use of community-related mobilization capital disbursed to Government ministries, departments, and agencies at the State, LGA, and ward levels.
- Track and documentation every month, factual, and finalize disbursement honorariums to Voluntary assistant Group Mobilizers, Polio Survivors Group, and Voluntary assistant Ward Supervisors, status updates at once any misappropriation of capital to UNICEF.
- Oversee Polio SBC and other health-associated data collection at the State, LGA and ward levels.
- Interpret data for specific practices/ patterns of violation, poor coverage, dropouts, departed outs, etc., and perform aligned actions to coordinate the process of reaching such networks/ households. Preserve close operating connections with other associates which includes SPHCDA, WHO, ROTARY, Red Cross, NTLC, and other applicable government associates.
- Assist in establishing and supporting group grievance and response mechanism and production of response from recipients, and other group participants.
- Assist assisting dispatch of combined SBC interventions across health, education, nutrition, WASH, child protection and community-related regulatory framework.
- Assist different sectors to mark and celebrate worldwide and national days, e.g., World Polio Day, Worldwide Hand Washing Day, Day of the African Child, etc.
- Assist in responding accordingly to health crises and disease outbreaks through the risk information exchange and public involvement panels at the state and LGA levels. Execute any other obligations allocated by the Manager.
Outputs
- Carry out and record every month synchronization sessions with the SBC Expert/Officer to evaluate ongoing duty, offer shared response, and confirm key recordkeeping and visibility materials.
- Send a thorough every month work strategy and commute strategy by the 1st week of each month.
- Send every month premium quality documentation of initiatives, results, purpose documentation, and minutes of sessions, etc. Head / engage fully in work collaboratively synchronization sessions at the State (eg ACSM, RCCE, SOMTEC, etc).
- Formulate and/or modify evidence-based State and LGA-specific ACSM Strategies for applicable Polio Supplementary Immunization Initiatives (SIAs).
- Send one premium quality documentation after each SIA using the offered template, combining intervention description and key community-related mobilization indicators from applicable data resources.
- Modify every month dashboard and distribute quarterly evaluation of facilitators.
- Modify LGA, Ward and Group level staff list before each marketing.
Work expertise:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of progressively in charge specialist work expertise at the State/ LGA level in programme organizing, management, supervising, and assessment in immunization programs.
- Expertise in community-related mobilization, support, and information exchange in health- associated programs, which includes polio eradication marketing, development/skills development, and team building.
- Robust participatory facilitation and interpersonal verbal abilities Ongoing expertise in development concerns, plans in addition to programming rules and standardized processes in international development teamwork.
Language:
Fluency in English; expertise in the local language of the responsibility station is an asset.
