Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and meticulous Head Finance officer (CFO) to head the financial plan, organizing, and management of the company. The preferred candidate will possess comprehensive expertise in microfinance banking, solid understanding of finance, public sector funding and coordinating compliance-related institutions and a verified ability to enhance financial effectiveness while making sure legal adherence.

Primary duties

• Formulate and execute financial plans in sync with the organization’s growth.
• Supervise financial planning, predicting, and budgeting processes.
• Ensure full adherence with CBN, tax, and compliance guidelines.
• Oversee capital and financing qualifications, which includes connections with investors and financial institutions.
• Track financial effectiveness, risk, and liquidity, making sure most effective financial health.
• Offer precise and prompt financial statements to the CEO and Board.
• Head and train the finance team.

Applicant background

• Interested applicants should have an Higher national diploma / Bachelor’s / Master`s Academic qualification in any applicable field.
• Demonstrated expertise as a CFO or Senior finance manager in a Microfinance Bank or associated financial solutions institution.
• Firm knowledge of public sector lending, risk mitigation strategy, and capital organizing.
• Outstanding expertise in CBN rules, IFRS, and finance reporting guidelines.
• Strategic thinker with effective guidance and strategic judgment capabilities.
• ACA/ACCA/CPA accreditation preferred; Master of business administration is a plus.
• Microfinance Accreditation (MCP) a must.
