Position Overview

We are seeking a hardworking and meticulous Audit officer with expertise in the microfinance banking sector. The preferred candidate will be in charge of analyzing the company’s internal regulates, risk mitigation strategy procedures, and adherence with compliance obligations, especially in engagement to microfinance processes.

Primary duties

• Carry out consistent audits of business, financial, and adherence initiatives across all operational units.
• Assess internal regulates and endorse enhancements to strengthen compliance and risk mitigation strategy.
• Guarantee adherence with CBN rules, organizational guidelines, and statutory qualifications.
• Evaluate loan recordkeeping, especially lending methods, for precision and adherence.
• Organize audit documentation with clear findings and implementable strategic guidance for management.
• Check in on the execution of audit strategic guidance.
• Help in fraud discovery and investigative where necessary.

Applicant background

• Bsc in Accounting, Finance, or associated discipline.
• Applicable qualifications which includes ACA, ACCA, CIA are firmly preferred.
• 4–6 years’ expertise in internal auditing, ideally inside a Microfinance Bank or controlled financial institution.
• Deep knowledge of CBN compliance structure, risk regulates, and public sector lending.
• Expertise in internal audit structured approach, status updates, and root cause evaluation.
• Outstanding logical, investigation, and verbal abilities.
