Pastry Chef at FoodCourt in Lagos

Position Objective

The Pastry Chef is in charge of getting ready, baking, and demonstrating pastries, cakes, desserts, and other baked goods according to organisation guidelines. The position requires creativeness, meticulousness, and compliance to hygiene and food safety while making sure client fulfillment.

Primary duties

• Organize and bake pastries, cakes, pies, bread, cookies, and desserts.
• Decorate pastries and desserts to guarantee appealing visual communication.
• Follow recipes and formulate new pastry items when necessary.
• Preserve cleanliness and orderliness in the pastry section.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
• Track stock levels and documentation shortages to the manager.
• Ensure adherence with food hygiene, health, and safety guidelines (HACCP/NAFDAC/local).
• Assist culinary service and event processes with pastry qualifications.
• Collaborate with the team to guarantee uniformity and effectiveness in generation.

Credentials & Competencies

• Previous expertise as a pastry chef, bakery chef, or in a similar position.
• Expertise in pastry methods, baking methods, and decoration competencies.
• Capability to operate quickly and productively in a dynamic environment.
• Creativeness and enthusiasm for desserts and pastries.
• Robust meticulousness and dedication to quality.
• Good collaboration and verbal abilities.
• Basic expertise in food safety and hygiene.

Operating Terms:

• Based at Unilag, Lagos.
• Adaptable work timetable (may comprise of mornings, weekends, and event days).
• Kitchen environment with exposure to heat and baking tools.
