The Child Protection Officer is responsible for specialist technical payment to project design, organizing, management, M&E of Child Protection program/project initiatives during the crisis, data evaluation and advancement status updates, in assist of accomplishment of organized targets of the crisis work strategize in sync with country program targets and plan

Duties

  • Ensure the accessibility of precise, finalize and current information necessary for efficient Child Protection program and project design, execution, management, M&E.
  • Prepare sound Child Protection program financial plans for evaluate by the manager; and offer assistance for exchanging of information possessing applicable associates.
  • Organize on a weekly basis activity strategies with line employees as necessary and ensure smooth execution of these strategies.
  • Set up/strengthen Child Protection Panels, which includes development and consciousness lifting on threats of abduction in their networks and linking children to accessible solutions.
  • Track and evaluate the execution of the programme, making sure that case workers are using the case management forms repeatedly and correctly.
  • Verify that every data from the case management are kept private and only divided on a need to know bases and in accordance with case management procedures.
  • Depiction of SOS Children’s Villages as necessary at group level and bargain with local governing bodies as required.
  • Execute other processes relative to Child Protection initiatives and programs that may be allocated by Direct supervisor.
  • Organize with Logistics to guarantee prompt and safe dispatch of inventory assigned to site initiatives.
  • Uphold the SOS Children’s Villages Child Safeguarding Regulatory framework and ensure the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse in the office and networks of intervention.
  • Recognize differences in service offering to children and proactively record, refer and support for those differences to be filled to applicable governing bodies
