IT Technical Manager, project at Digital Virgo Group in Lagos

Position Overview

The Technical Manager, project will head local and regional integrations with telecom operators and merchants. The candidate will be in charge of verifying flows and APIs, managing technical setups, making sure test coverage, and supplying business recordkeeping. The position requires clear expression and autonomy to operate productively with associates, which includes the capability to build local trust, overcome cultural obstacles, and intervene physically or by phone as required to settle concerns.

Duties

• Confirm accessibility and thoroughness of flows and API endpoints (charging, cancellation, bill, etc.)
• Prepare, preserve and distribute clear system manuals which includes starter kits and flow diagrams
• Organize local environment setup (VPN, IP whitelisting, SMPP…)
• Organize and follow implementation of testbooks with internal teams and external associates
• Confirm technical & operational tests
• Assist diagnosing and recognize technical differences during consolidation
• Ensure recordkeeping is centralized and routinely current in Jira, Sharepoint…
• Track advancement and convey blockers transparently with within and outside the organization teams
• Collaborate with DV teams (Business, Technical teams, Product…) and local associates
• Assist Cross-functional team on product release running test and diagnosing.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of expertise in technical missions (development, network, telecom) and then in Project coordination
• Knowledgeable about API running test and diagnosing (Postman, Swagger, data records, REST, JSON)
• Capability to read and analyze system manuals
• Understanding with task management platforms (MS Project, Jira, Excel)
• Skilled in English (spoken and documented); French will be an added advantage
• Expertise in telecom environments: SMS/USSD flows, DCB, SMPP, OTP will be an added advantage
• Cozy making direct reach out with associates (calls, in-field if needed) to settle hindering points
• Comprehension of regional circumstance and capability to interact with local participants productively.
