Job Description
Overview
A hotel accounting officer is in charge of coordinating and monitoring the financial processes of a hotel. They ensure precision in finance reporting, adherence with rules, and offer findings that assist management make sound business decisions.
Primary duties
Preserve precise records of accounts (earnings, expenditures, wage processing, assets, financial obligations). Organize routine income and cost summaries.
Income Management:
Track routine guest accommodation sales, Food and beverage (F&B) income, and other earnings streams. Resolve POS (Point of Sale) and front office collections with bank deposits.
Expense management:
Track unit-specific expenditure and ensure cost effectiveness. Recognize zones of financial leakage or wastage.
Wage processing Management:
Oversee employees salaries, perks, and statutory conclusions (taxes, pensions, etc.).
Finance reporting:
Organize every month, every quarter, and yearly balance sheet and income statement. Show documentation to hotel management and owners.
Tax & Adherence:
Guarantee adherence with tax legal provisions and local financial rules. File returns and coordinate with auditors and tax governing bodies.
Internal Regulates:
Execute and track operational structures to ensure protection of hotel assets. Identify and prevent fraud or financial mismanagement.
Audit Assist:
Organize within and outside the organization audits. Offer precise records and descriptions during audits.
Management Assist:
Advise management on financial plan. Offer statistics-driven findings for pricing, financial funding, and growth decisions.
Qualifications
