Engineering Head at Strivo Labs in Lagos

Overview

We are seeking an Engineering Head who will assume responsibility of our technical channels, oversee a cross-operational engineering team, and ensure dispatch of secure, creative, and ability to scale goods.

Primary duties

• Head and train a team of software engineers, making sure premium quality code and prompt project dispatch
• Architect, design, and supervise the development of secure, ability to scale channels for financial solutions and e-commerce initiatives.
• Work alongside Product, Cybersecurity, and Business teams to align technical development with business targets.
• Establish engineering industry standards, coding guidelines, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Oversee system effectiveness, accessibility, and reliability across all channels.
• Foster creativity by exploring and executing emerging technical solutions.
• Supervise vendor/third-party integrations, making sure adherence with compliance-related and guard qualifications.
• Engage in technical recruiting and team expansion.

Credentials & Competencies

• Bsc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant field (Master’s preferred).
• 7+ years of software engineering expertise, with a minimum of 2 years in a executive function.
• Demonstrated expertise building operational structures in financial solutions and/or e-commerce environments.
• Solid understanding of modern fullstack frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python, React, Java, etc.).
• Cloud structure expertise (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Solid experience in guard, payments operational structures, and APIs.
• Outstanding executive guidance, information exchange, and project coordination competencies.
