Financial officer at Neem Foundation in Abuja

Position Overview

The Financial officer will be in charge of assisting the financial processes of the company, making sure adherence with organizational guidelines and statutory rules. The preferred candidate will help in financial planning, finance reporting, and daily finance Management initiatives, supporting to the effectiveness and honesty and reliability of the finance operation.

Primary duties

• Manage daily financial financial record which includes outstanding bills, outstanding receivables, and bank adjustments.
• Assist wage processing project setup and associated accounting records.
• Help in the project setup and supervising of every month, every quarter, and yearly financial plans in partnership possessing applicable departments.
• Organize periodic financial statements in adherence with within and outside the organization qualifications.
• Preserve precise and current finance records and recordkeeping.
• Help in the project setup of balance sheet and income statement and assist audit methods.
• Guarantee adherence with financial rules, standardized processes, and regulates.
• Keep abreast of financial rules, tax legal provisions, and industry standards applicable to the company.
• Coordinate with banks, vendors, and applicable compliance-related bodies as needed.
• Assist donor status updates and project accounting initiatives (if relevant).
• Support to optimizing the internal regulate environment and supporting financial responsibility.

Preferred Competencies:

• Expertise in a donor-financed or non-profit company will be an added advantage.
• Understanding with project finance and multi-currency accounting is a plus.
• Capability to oversee various duty and deliver on time in a dynamic environment.
