Position Overview

We are looking for a highly proficient and result-oriented Recovery Officer to oversee debt recovery methods, bargain repayment terms, and preserve positive customer connections. The position includes initiative-driven client engagement on delinquent accounts, executing efficient recovery plans, and making sure adherence with organisation rules and governance policies.

Primary duties

• Oversee and supervise recovery of overdue loans, accounts, or payments from individuals and businesses.
• Reach out borrowers through phone calls, emails, and physical visits to bargain repayment strategies.
• Formulate and execute efficient plans to reduce non-executing loans (NPLs).
• Preserve precise records of all recovery initiatives, payments, and agreements.
• Carry out site visits to track and recover outstanding obligations.
• Coordinate with lawful teams to report to higher support tier cases requiring litigation.
• Offer periodic documentation on debt recovery status, risks, and strategic guidance.
• Guarantee adherence with corporate rules and compliance obligations in all recovery methods.
• Build solid connections with customers to motivate prompt repayment and prevent future defaults.
• Assist management in conceptualizing rules to improve collection effectiveness.

Qualifications & Credentials

• Bsc in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or relevant field.
• At least 3–4 years demonstrated expertise in debt recovery, collections, or receivables monitoring.
• Robust bargain, persuasion, and dispute-solution competencies.
• Clear articulation (documented and verbal) and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to operate under pressure and meet recovery targets.
• Good expertise in debt recovery legal provisions, credit management, and financial rules.
• Competence in Ms office tools and applicable CRM/loan management software.
• Robust logical and analytical abilities.
