Position Overview
The Chief of Financial funding and Trade Advancement (W2A Link Head) will play a pivotal position in positioning W2A as Africa’s foremost convenor of financial funding and trade participants across key sectors. Beyond nurturing dialogue, the position is attentive on supplying tangible results coordinating investments and trade agreements that lead Africa’s growth.
This individual will:
- Head the design, management, and implementation of flagship events, convenings, and international trade missions.
- Lead sponsorships, strategic collaborations, and income production.
- Build and oversee a top-performing team.
- Spearhead the rollout of W2A Link, W2A’s convening and relationship building subsidiary.
- Strengthen W2A’s corporate identity positioning internationally (Europe, U.S., Asia).
Sales & Income Production
- Design and execute sales plans for sponsorships, exhibitor bundles, assign tickets, and strategic collaborations.
- Secure sponsorships and strategic collaborations from corporates, DFIs, banks, and regulatory bodies.
- Repeatedly meet and exceed income targets tied to events and W2A Link.
Credentials & Expertise
- Bsc in Business Management, International affairs, Economics, or relevant field (MSC is a plus).
- 5–10 years of expertise in financial funding advancement, trade facilitation, event management, or business development, with a minimum of 5 years in executive guidance.
- Established history of supplying large-scale international convenings and trade missions.
- Robust network across investors, corporates, DFIs, governments, and trade institutions.
- Exhibited capability to lead sales, sponsorships, and income production.
- Outstanding executive guidance, participant relation, and cross-cultural verbal abilities.
- Readiness to commute often within and outside Africa.
