Job Description

Position Profile

The Paralegal is in charge of assisting the private sector compliance department in offering counsel and solutions to the OPEC Financial support’s participants and carrying out a range of analysis and logical work all in accordance with the institutional plan and structure, to assist the accomplishment of Private Sector’s long-term targets, strategic targets and yearly targets. The position will also act as the Administrative assistant to the Employees Appeals Board (SAC) and in that capacity will answer to the Chairperson of the SAC. 

Analysis and evaluation:

  • Executes lawful analysis on a multifaceted range of regulatory framework and lawful concerns using diverse analysis suppliers
  • Offers findings/strategic guidance on regulatory framework concerns and standardized processes; arranges profile papers, documented records of proceedings, memoranda condensing documents, other lawful acquire material, or equivalent
  • Helps in composing and analyzing prepare documents, highlighting concerns, variations, etc.
  • Responds to questions ranging in difficulty and takes decisions, subject to authorized authority, with the direction of Lawful Counsels 
  • Engages in assignment/project teams as allocated necessary
  • Serves as the project aide for projects under the management of the private sector compliance department
  • Coordinates project and unit-specific documents and records in accordance with suitable guidelines and files in the suitable record management system
  • Manages duty in absence of primary counsel with limited oversight
  • Helps with project sample management duty (amendments, agrees, waivers, cancellations)
  • Helps with arranging team sessions, taking minutes and getting ready documentation connected with various duty
  • Aids Private Sector lawful counsels in the accomplishment of the Units targets

Credentials and Expertise

  • MSC in law or; Bsc in law with an additional two years of expertise  
  • At least two (2) years applicable industry experience,with a (MSC) or four (4) years (with a Bsc)
  • At least one (1) year at an international development finance institution is highly preferred
  • Expertise in HR management, with a concentration on workplace engagement  is a plus
  • Fluent in English. Good practical understanding of Arabic, French or Spanish is a plus
