Chief auditor at Bourbon Interoil Nigeria Limited in Lagos

Position duties

Chief auditor delivers self-sufficient guarantee that BINL’s Risk mitigation strategy, compliance, and internal regulate methods are efficient. The position covers financial, business, technical, and adherence audits with emphasis on the items listed organizational operations which includes Crewing, HR, Information Tech, Guard, Compliance-related, Financial, Safety, Procurement, Logistics, Business-related and Agreement administration. To carry out audit tasks and make adequate strategic guidance based on findings that would positively effect the operational workflows. To guarantee prompt and proper execution of authorized audit strategy for the business, organize and check in on execution of all audit strategic guidance.

Adherence Monitoring:

• Guarantee alignment to organisation rules, methods and standardized processes
• Track vendor/vendor adherence with Performance threshold Agreements (SLAs) and agreements
• Status updates and Consultative
• Organize clear and brief audit documentation with implementable strategic guidance
• Report results to the Auditee Management, Top level Executive team and Corporate head
• Offer consultative input on risk mitigation strategy and process enhancements.

Outputs:

• Yearly Audit Strategy and status reports.
• Internal audit documentation (financial, business, adherence, technical).
• Every quarter status reports to the Corporate head.
• Endorsement tracking documentation for corrective actions.
• Consultative Documentation on risk, adherence, and effectiveness enhancements.

Competencies & Skills:

• Robust logical and investigation competencies.
• Outstanding comprehension of risk mitigation strategy and internal regulates.
• Capability to participate with multifaceted processes which includes processes, technical, procurement, finance, business-related, agreements etc.
• High professional conduct and specialist skepticism.
• Clear expression and status updates competencies.
• Competence in audit resources, Enterprise platform planning operational structures, and Ms office tools.

Experiences:

• A minimum of 7 - 10 audit expertise with a minimum of 2 years in a executive position.
• Expertise operating within a international entity ideally in Marine / Petroleum sector/ FCMG with expertise in Business Ethics and Adherence regulations and rule.
