Accounting officer at Origin Tech Group in Surulere, Lagos

Position Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and skilled Accounting officer to join our finance team in the automobile sector. The preferred candidate will be in charge of coordinating finance records, making sure adherence with accounting guidelines, and assisting process effectiveness across vehicle sales, spare parts stock, service income, and vendor financial record.

Primary duties

• Preserve precise finance records for vehicle sales, service earnings, and parts financial record.
• Organize every month, every quarter, and yearly balance sheet and income statement in line with IFRS and organisation rules.
• Resolve financial statements, vendor accounts, and client outstanding invoices.
• Track and oversee stock accounting for vehicles, spare parts, and workshop consumables.
• Process outstanding bills and receivable, making sure prompt payments and collections.
• Organize and file statutory returns (VAT, WHT, etc.) and ensure tax adherence.
• Assist financial planning, predicting, and financial evaluation initiatives.
• Work alongside internal departments (Sales, Service, Stores) to guarantee financial precision.
• Preserve financial information accuracy in SAGE Enterprise platform planning system.
• Help with within and outside the organization audits and execute strategic guidance.

Credentials & Expertise

• Bsc in Accounting, Finance, or associated fields
• A member of a professional body (ACA, ACCA) is a plus.
• At least 3 - 5 years’ accounting expertise, ideally in the automobile or production operations industry.
• Solid understanding of IFRS, tax rules, and stock accounting.
• Competence in SAGE Enterprise platform planning systemand Excel spreadsheet software.
• Outstanding logical, corporate, and verbal abilities.
