Primary duties
- Oversee the receipt, storage, issuance, and return of explosives in line with statutory and organisation qualifications.
- Preserve precise inventory records, registers, and stock documentation for all explosives.
- Guarantee adherence with government rules (e.g.,Ministry of Mines & Steel Development, and other compliance-related agencies).
- Track magazine guard and safety guidelines, making sure only approved staff entry restricted zones.
- Carry out consistent inspections of magazine facilities to guarantee safety, room maintenance services, and adherence with explosive storage rules.
- Work alongside generation and processes teams to meet material qualifications without compromising safety.
- Organize and send statutory returns and documentation as necessary by compliance-related governing bodies.
- Assist audits, risk evaluations, and crisis drills connected with magazine processes.
- Preserve a secure, conforming, and structured facility.
Credentials & Qualifications
- At least Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, and any applicable community-related science course.
- A minimum of 3 to 5years’ expertise in magazine processes, explosives managing, or similar position within a production operations or mining environment.
- Expertise in explosives rules and safety guidelines in Nigeria is a plus.
- Robust corporate, document-keeping, and adherence supervising competencies.
- Capability to operate independently, with high meticulousness and responsibility.
- Accreditation in Health, safety, and environment or Explosives Management is a plus.
