Position Overview
- The Litigation officer is in charge of coordinating and monitoring all litigation matters across Dangote Industries Limited.
- This position make sure that the organization’s lawful interests are protected by productively coordinating disputes, managing with external counsel, and advising internal participants on litigation risks and plans.
- The Litigation Head plays a main responsibility in minimizing lawful exposure and safeguarding the organization’s reputation through initiative-driven regulatory exposure management and productive conflict management.
Primary duties
- Head and oversee every facet of the organization’s litigation project sample, which includes civil, business-related, work, and compliance-related disputes.
- Formulate litigation plans in alignment with the organization’s targets and regulatory structure.
- Guarantee promptness and efficient management of lawful proceedings, from commencement to solution.
- Offer counsel for executive review and business units on possibility litigation risks and pre-litigation matters.
- Recognize lawful risks and endorse risk risk reduction plans to reduce exposure to litigation.
- Evaluate and analyze lawful documents, agreements, and rules to prevent possibility lawful disputes.

- Track modifications in legal provisions and rules that may effect the organization’s litigation risks.
- Preserve proper recordkeeping and records of all lawful proceedings and case files in adherence with organisation rules.
- Explore alternative conflict management (ADR) mechanisms, which includes mediation and arbitration, to settle disputes productively.
- Head settlement talks where suitable to reduce the financial and reputational effect on the organisation.
- Organize and show consistent documentation to top level management on the status of litigation cases and possibility lawful risks.
- Preserve a complete DB of all ongoing and closed litigation matters, making sure precision and secrecy.
- Track lawful expenses and financial plan for litigation-associated expenditures, making sure cost effectiveness and transparency.
Operational Skills:
