Position Overview

The Savings Officer is in charge of supporting and mobilizing savings goods, coordinating customer accounts, and making sure outstanding client support to customers. The officer will foster connections with customers, teach them on financial goods, and assist the financial addition purpose of the institution.

Primary duties

• Mobilize savings from individuals, groups, and institutions.
• Advance and cross-sell savings goods and solutions to current and prospective customers.
• Launch and oversee customer accounts in accordance with organizational guidelines and compliance obligations.
• Teach customers on the value of saving and the capabilities of accessible goods.
• Carry out consistent follow-ups and connection management with customers to guarantee fulfillment and retention
• Accomplish set targets for savings mobilization and customer purchase.
• Help in arranging financial literacy and group outreach programs.
• Deliver promptly and precise documentation on savings effectiveness to supervisors.
• Preserve precise and current records of all financial record and customer engagements.

Credentials & Expertise

• Certification or Bsc in Banking, Finance, Business Management, or a relevant field.
• 1–3 years of expertise in a similar position in a bank, SACCO, or microfinance institution.
• Demonstrated expertise in savings mobilization or customer connection management is a plus.
• Basic expertise in financial goods and solutions.
• Robust business promotion & sales competencies.
