Project Architect at Efficacy Development Plc in Ikoyi, Lagos

Role summary

We are searching for a innovative and motivated architect who will strategize formulate and execute building designs. He or she will be in charge of conceptualizing and demonstrating design proposals, getting ready drawings, requirements, financial plans, building documents and coordinating project teams.

Assigned tasks

• To be in charge of the assessment of a project from start to finalization, and to operate with other experts in the building building industry.
• Generate thorough workings, drawings and requirements from a provided architectural sketch.
• To be in charge of the project setup of highly thorough operating drawings and requirements using software as Computer-Aided Design (CAD) applications; AutoCAD, 3DMax, Lumion, Revit, SketchUp, etc.
• To be in charge of the project setup of authorization drawings for entry for statutory authorizations, building authorizations and organizing permissions.
• Collaborate with a team of other experts, which includes building service engineers, building managers, quantity surveyors, architectural technologists and advisors.
• Occasional visit to sites to guarantee adherence with architectural drawings, description and finishing.
• To be in charge of the generation of thorough floor strategies, on-site strategies, elevations, sections, doors and window plans, etc.
• To supply finalize architectural drawings, design within 7 days for sophisticated projects and 24 hours for simple projects after being issued a sketch.
• To generate documentation for every on-site visited within 48 hours of visit and to guarantee the accessibility of architectural drawings on every building on-site.
• To associate authorized modifications, alterations and corrections to the design to the PMs or Direct supervisor within 24 hours.
• Carrying out duty allocated by the manager.

Credentials and Profile

• Academic qualification (Higher national diploma and Bachelor's degree) in architecture or a relevant field.
• 4-5 years of expertise
• Previous expertise as an architect preferred.
• Good design and drawing competencies
• Robust people skills
• Good technical design competencies
• Capability to visualise systems.
• Critical thinking, precision and meticulousness.
• Organisational and bargaining ability
• Robust collaboration and management abilities
• Outstanding IT competencies, which includes computer-aided design competencies in Revit Architecture, Autodesk Autocad Architecture, 3dsmax, Lumion 3D & Animated visuals, SketchUp and Enscape.
• A member of a professional body is a plus (But Optional).
