Job Description

The Chief of Stock Chain will be in charge of top and coordinating the Generation, Processing, and Guard units.
This position is critical for making sure a dependable stock of the generation strategy volume, fulfilled safely, on time, in full (OTIF), and within budgeted COGS and quality benchmarks.
The primary crop is maize, accompanied by secondary crops like rice, cowpeas, and sorghum.
The role will also engage close partnership with both within and outside the organization participants to guarantee smooth alignment of stock chain initiatives with corporate plan, compliance obligations, and market requirement.

Formulation of the generation plan for the business unit
Supply generation, negotiating, planting and dispatch strategies as accepted in the signed-off effectiveness agreement
Firmly plant seed generation fields (stock strategy) in line with the requirement & dispatch strategy provided by the requirement workspace
Proactively oversee the parent seed programme in tandem with the growth strategy espoused in the GPS plan - the result is to reduce shortages, excessive orders & impairment
Work alongside seamlessly with the seed processing, QA, logistics and business promotion / sales processes to guarantee the OTIF is fulfilled
Development of a dependable seed grower base and execute the signed off irrigated hectare growth strategy
Adherence of seed generation guidelines with compliance-related, internal and international quality benchmarks
Make sure that accredited seed generated meets all set quality (genetic & physical) thresholds – lab GPT for parent seed, at least 95% & accredited seed, at least 95%
Execute parent seed bulking and head adoption of industry standards
Execute an efficient people development programme
Foster creativity and uninterrupted workflow optimization to maximize output
Anticipated to establish yourself as one of the technical anchors value-chain wide, internally & externally
Guarantee adherence to NASC rule

Prompt and productive seed processing / packaging
Responsible for servicing & maintenance of all tools & machinery
Making sure all processed seed meets market qualifications
Collaborate with GPS staff to guarantee all programs espoused
Enhance the asset qualifications of the processing unit in line with GPS guidelines

Bachelor's degree Academic qualification in Crop Science or Agriculture Management
Master's degree Academic qualification in Agriculture is a plus
Master’s in Business Management/ Master of Science Strategic Management/MBL
8 years of operating expertise within a seed business or relevant field with a minimum of three years at a executive team level.
