The Objective

  • Under the oversight of the Chief of Assignment (HoD), the Political Adviser 3 advises the assignment on political progress updates and modifications in the entire environment, dispute and guard dynamics.
  • S/he recognizes, sustains and broadens high-level relations with participants and supports the management’s entry to a wide network of connections.
  • His/her entire duty is to design and supply efficient relation plans with Nigerian governing bodies and other participants in partnership with other departments.
  • S/he supports to widening/ integrating the ICRC’s network of applicable and meaningful interlocutors in close synchronization with the management of the assignment.

Your Position

  • Observes, evaluation and advises the assignment on political concerns, the dispute and guard circumstance in Nigeria, which includes the views and regulatory framework targets of national governing bodies, opposition key stakeholders, think-tanks, international entities, Nonprofit organizations, and the diplomatic group.
  • Builds, sustains, and expands a high-level network of connections, which includes government authorities, parliamentarians, political opposition, and other primary stakeholders. Supports entry for management as needed.
  • Aids the Assignment management in its strategic relation and dialogue possessing applicable Nigerian governing bodies and embassies, Recognizing zones of convergence between ICRC and Nigerian regulatory framework interests, incl. through idea notes, evaluation, and participant mapping.
  • Supports strategically to internal synchronization mechanism of ICRC prevention/process, operating with Management and Planners to strengthen its outside factor and diplomatic position.
  • Coordinates briefings on political circumstance and cultural sensitivities for assignment employees.
  • Delivers logical documentation, update notes, and other recordkeeping to assist political relation and inform internal participants.
  • Supports to the assignment’s business key focuses and humanitarian diplomacy endeavors in Nigeria
  • Sustains a network of high-level governmental formal across the various tribal/power groups and identities, making sure the ICRC acceptance and assist
  • Routinely delivers the HoD/Top level management possessing applicable evaluation on key political/guard/socio-economic progress updates with regards to internal power dynamics.
  • Bring to attention key progress updates and their results for the ICRC processes and perception/acceptance in the country
  • Client engagement on significant concerns on representing the HoD notably with the government governing bodies on privileges and immunities, ICRC status, mandate and exemptions.
  • Engages to the management of guard with the Site Guard and Criss Management (FSCM) and her/his team to support to ICRC entire acceptance and respect.
  • Aids the management of the assignment in grasping the sophisticated tribal dynamics reflected at the government level and assist navigating those.
