Overview

Establish scope of all pre-initiating and initiating initiatives, allocate task volumes, evaluate and execute guidelines/standardized processes which includes man hour estimating, cost estimating, financial planning, and advancement status updates for Instrumentation scope for all phases of the project. Aids development and implementation of centralized engineering solutions for current upstream generation operating units and new upstream capital projects to preserve safety accessibility and reliability of the instrument and regulate operational structures while optimizing cost.

Duty and Duties

  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, engineers, and other disciplines as necessary.
  • Engage in HAZOP/ LOPA assessments and in other technical, constructability and quality assessments
  • Help during planning phase, Evaluate and Authorization of Instrumentation associated engineering outputs, i.e. instrument indexes, installation description, site drawings, datasheets, wiring drawings, loop drawings, P&ID's, material requisitions, assessment of alternatives and selection of instruments, calculations (regulate valve, flow elements, pressure safety valves), record regulate data records, invoice of materials and instrument adjustment authorizations.
  • Assist project Acceptance Running test (AT) which includes: analyzing standardized processes, allocating assets, periodically participating AT, and modify initiating scope to combine AT successes and deficiencies.
  • Formulate, track, and modify initiating implementation timetable.

Competencies and Credentials

  • MS or postgraduate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or associated engineering expertise, or equivalent industry experience
  • Previous expertise in a strongly connected role and/or supervisory expertise in relevant field
  • Comprehensive expertise in discipline design guidelines, requirements, codes, and suitable safety evaluation benchmarks
  • Capable to evaluate, assess, and modify action and consequence, P&IDs, logic and architecture diagrams and regulate visual stories
  • Expertise in selection, application, and ISA data sheet specification of hardware which includes pressure/ temperature /level instruments, regulate valves, shutdown valves, and fire/gas discovery
  • Skilled in data collection and evaluation with common DB and software data evaluation resources which includes SAP, Data analysis for Excel and Tableau
  • Capability to adjust to tight due dates, heavy task volumes, and constant adjustments in key focuses
  • Skilled in Ms office tools of software programs
  • Read, compose, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications
