Feed Miller at the Farm Katsina Limited in Katsina

Position Objective

The Feed Miller is in charge of operating, supervising, and preserving feed mill tools to guarantee productive generation of premium quality animal feed. The position includes conforming to safety guidelines, quality assurance standardized processes, and generation plans while minimizing non-operational time and making sure smooth plant processes.

Primary duties

• Operate and track feed milling machinery which includes grinders, professional mixers, pelletizers, conveyors, and wrapping units.
• Ensure precise weighing, mixing, and formulation of feed ingredients according to established recipes and nutrition guidelines.
• Preserve generation records, which includes batch documentation, unedited material usage, and finished product result.
• Examine unedited materials and finished feed for quality adherence.
• Diagnose issues and documentation mechanical concerns, managing with servicing & maintenance teams for prompt repairs.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and Good Production operations Procedures (GMP).
• Carry out standard procedure cleaning and minor preventive servicing & maintenance of machines to reduce breakdowns.
• Guarantee adherence with ecological, health, and safety rules.
• Help in stock management of unedited materials and finished goods.
• Assist ongoing development programs in feed generation effectiveness and cost reduction.

Credentials & Expertise

• Applicants should have an OND / Higher national diploma / Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant field.
• At least 2–3 years’ expertise in a feed mill or associated production operations environment.
• Expertise in feed formulation, feed safety guidelines, and QA.
• Understanding with feed mill machinery and plant processes.
• Basic mechanical and diagnosing issues competencies.
