Accounting officer at Afconrecruit Limited in Abuja

Objective of the Position

The Accounting officer will supervise financial document-keeping, process payments, oversee outstanding invoices and payables, organize documentation, and assist the finance team in preserving transparency, responsibility, and legal adherence.

Adherence & Audit Assist:

Ensure prompt remittance of VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other statutory conclusions. Coordinate with auditors during yearly audits and offer assisting plans.

Outputs:

• Prompt and precise every month management accounts.
• Balanced financial statements and ledgers.
• Current statutory remittances and adherence documentation.
• Clear financial plan supervising documentation with financial difference assessment.
• Audit-prepared accounting records.

Credentials and Expertise

• Bsc in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
• A member of a professional body (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is a plus.
• 3-5 years of applicable accounting expertise, ideally in telecoms, ICT, or service industries.
• Solid understanding of financial system (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or Enterprise platform planning operational structures).
• Competence in Excel spreadsheet software and finance reporting resources.
• Robust logical, corporate, and analytical abilities.
