Head, Instantaneous Payments at Interswitch Group in Lagos

About the Position

To head, oversee, and optimise the IT assistance and processes for the centralised Structure for Instantaneous Payment in Nigeria and across Africa, which serves as the backbone for network access, interoperability, and data exchange for instantaneous payments. To offer direction and Business Management capacity for the core structure, assisting instantaneous payments in addition to other assisting structure, operational structures, and channels that enable Systegra to supply Instantaneous payment plan and business targets productively. To offer direction and training to a team of execution and IT assistance engineers, making sure the productive process of handled solutions operational structures and channels. Preserving a high level of assist for both internal teams and external customers for the CI-Hub processes staff session the highest guidelines for effectiveness, guard, and adherence.

Business Management:

• Supervise day-to-day activities of CI-Hub, making sure uptime, reliability, and guard of all linked operational structures.
• Formulate and execute methods for supervising, system issue management, adjustment management, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure scalability and effectiveness of the operational base and structure to assist growing business and transaction volumes.
• Oversee vendor connections, third-party APIs, and system integrators assisting CI-Hub.

Tech & Creative invention:

• Head the design, deploying, and ongoing development of consolidation initiatives (APIs, middleware, modular, independently deployable services, communication tone queues, data pipelines, etc.).
• Advocate automatic control, AI/ML, and data analysis-driven upgrades to enhance hub effectiveness.
• Assess and combine emerging technical solutions to strengthen interoperability, adaptability, and effectiveness.

Participant Relation:

• Serve as the primary communication link between business units, tech teams, and external associates leveraging the hub.
• Ensure alignment of hub capabilities with business needs, product launches, and customer integrations.
• Offer transparency through effectiveness dashboards, business documentation, and participant assessments.

Risk mitigation strategy:

• Recognize promise risks in tech structure and execute risk reduction measures.
• Establish and preserve disaster recovery strategies to guarantee business continuity.
• Guarantee adherence with information security, cybersecurity, and industry rules (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR, NDPR).

Vendor Management:

Oversee connections with external vendors and associates to guarantee procurement of premium quality technical goods and solutions. Assess and select suitable vendors for IT assistance resources and solutions.

Ongoing development:

Execute programs to improve effectiveness and performance of IT assistance and engineering methods.

Team lead and Management:

• Formulate and execute efficient collaboration and results tracking measures.
• Motivate and train team members, nurturing an environment that fosters uninterrupted learning and advancement.
• Assign duty productively and ensure productive solution of client concerns.
• Supervise staff financial plans and assets.

Education / Expertise

• Bsc in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or relevant field.
• Specialist qualifications in IT Service Management, Consolidation, Cloud, or Guard (e.g., ITIL, TOGAF, PMP, AWS/Azure, CISSP) are a plus.
• 7–10 years of Enterprise Engineering/IT assistance expertise, ideally in Financial Solutions, Financial technology, Telecommunications, or Service Supplier companies.
• Established history in financial solutions, financial technology, payments, or telecoms industry preferred.
• Expertise with APIs, middleware, cloud-native architecture, data merging, and legal adherence.
