Position Overview

The Head of financial operations, Management & MIS (Management Information Operational structures) possesses main responsibility for the organizing, execution, coordinating, and running of all the finance initiatives of the organization, which includes business organizing, financial planning, predicting, and talks. The position manages the Accounting, Information Tech (IT), and Managerial processes, and directs all finance Management methods which includes yearly financial planning and organizing, supervising of project spending, finance reporting and auditing; preserving and directing project accounts, records of account, banking, and financial processes. The applicant should be a accountable manager with an logical and strategic mind and possess a wide expertise of the business. The person is also directly accountable for managing the use and servicing & maintenance of the Management Information Operational structures of the bank. The preferred candidate for this position will possess exhibited effective guidance competencies, and outcomes onboarding and be capable to analyze the corporate aspiration into growth plans and lucrative processes.

Duties

  • Head, supervise, and oversee all zones of the finance, accounting, and treasury departments' daily processes to guarantee KPIs are accomplished; build complete and SMART targets for effectiveness and growth.
  • Offering strategic strategic guidance to the CEO and members of the top management.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to formulate and execute new methods and Management Information Operational structures that grow financial and business efficiencies.
  • Coordinating the methods for financial predicting and financial plans, and monitoring the project setup of all finance reporting.
  • Advising on long-term business and budgeting.
  • Keeping proper financial records and getting ready applicable returns concerning the MFB initiatives.
  • Coordinating with with the MFB’s bankers and making sure that all bank accounts are properly and routinely balanced.
  • Getting ready periodic documentation to the CBN.
  • Foster connections with experts which includes Solicitors, Accounting officer, and others whose solutions would be necessary from time to time.
  • Establishing and conceptualizing relations with top level management and external associates and participants.
  • Formulate, execute, and carry out consistent assessments of all Finance Administrator and MIS-associated standardized processes.
  • Enable a thriving work environment, building and top a very driven and high-effectiveness team.
  • Design and execute rules, methods, and guidelines that match with the entire plan and targeted culture of the company.
  • Ensure corporate quality through evaluate, modify, execution, and compliance to accepted rules, standardized processes, and documented guides.
  • Guarantee promptness preparations of the yearly financial plan, per quarter budget evaluate, projections, and business strategies.
  • Documentation on functional performance and suggest enhancements. 
  • Supervise and oversee the assets of the company.
  • Offer strategic input and direction for the development of effectiveness targets, which includes uninterrupted supervising to guarantee the accomplishment of set targets.

  • Oversee and sustain connections with the CBN, other compliance-related agencies, and strategic participants.

Qualifications

  • A Academic qualification in the Sciences/Engineering, Business Management, Finance, or any other relevant field. Master's degree/Master of business administration or applicable accreditation (e.g. CFA/CPA) will be an added advantage
  • Applicable professional certification, e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • At least 5 years top level leadership background inside the financial solutions industry
  • Must possess undergone the Microfinance Accreditation Programme and secured a Certification in Microfinance Banking issued by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
  • Expertise executing and/or using a Management Information System inside the financial solutions industry.
  • Operates productively at all levels, especially sophisticated financial data to non-finance employees
  • Demonstrated expertise of operating productively with non-finance employees and supporting to wider corporate goals outside of the traditional finance remit
  • Outstanding analytical abilities; logical and organized in his/her thinking 
  • Expertise in business intelligence, status updates and budgeting
  • Verbal abilities – verbal, non-verbal and documented
  • Self-starter and very structured, with robust meticulousness 
  • Extremely adaptable, devoted to productive productivity and capable to operate productively and productively across various teams
  • A thorough comprehension of microfinance key indicators/indicators and the capability to analyze and process processes data
