Accounting officer at Domeo Resources International in Abuja (FCT)

Position Overview

The Accounting officer will supervise financial processes for the organization’s hospitality units (dining venues, social spaces, or hotels). The position requires practical experience in coordinating accounts inside the service sector, making sure precision of routine sales adjustments, supervising expenses, getting ready management documentation, and making sure adherence with accounting guidelines and internal regulates.

Cost & Stock Management:

• Track cost of sales and track kitchen/bar stock usage.
• Collaborate with procurement and store officers to resolve buys vs usage.
• Execute financial difference assessment between budgeted vs actual expenses.
• Recognize zones of wastage, pilferage, or leakages and endorse initiatives.

Cost & Stock Regulate:

• Variance between actual vs standard cost of food/beverages.
• % reduction in stock wastage or pilferage.
• Frequency of balanced inventory documentation fulfilled on time.

Adherence & Regulates:

• % of adherence with tax and statutory filings (zero penalties).
• Number of audit modifications necessary per cycle.
• Performance of internal regulatory actions executed.

Credentials & Expertise

• Bachelor's degree Academic qualification / Higher national diploma in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
• 3–5 years demonstrated expertise as an Accounting officer in a hotel, dining venue, or hospitality group.
• Specialist certification (ICAN, ACCA, or in advancement) preferred.
• Reliable expertise in hospitality-specific accounting (POS adjustments, inventory costing, routine income documentation).
• Robust competence in financial system (QuickBooks, Sage, or Enterprise platform planning) and MS Excel.
• High honesty and reliability, meticulousness, and capability to deliver within strict timelines.
