Job Description
Role summary
The Engineering operations manager will supervise all engineering, servicing & maintenance, and engineering support solutions necessary for the smooth implementation of the Long-Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLIN) project. This comprises coordinating plant machinery, utilities, preventive servicing & maintenance, process optimization, and making sure adherence with international guidelines during processes. The role includes arranging, coordinating assets, and sharing information with participants (within and outside the organization).
Civil & Facility Works:
- Oversee basic civil works for plant modifications, expansions, or repairs.
- Organize with service providers for safe and prompt implementation of building/renovation projects.
- Guarantee adherence with building safety codes.
Adherence & Safety:
Execute and ensure adherence to Health, safety, and environment (Health, Safety, Environment) guidelines. Assist audits, qualifications, and donor/work collaboratively inspections.
Qualifications
- Bsc in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (Master’s is a plus).
- 5+ years of practical experience in production operations, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership/executive engineering position.
- Demonstrated expertise with sewing/textile tools, utilities (Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, electrical), and plant servicing & maintenance.
- Robust domain expertise across various engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning).
- Expertise in forklift processes, civil works, and factory layouts.
- Self-motivated and Capability to oversee service providers, vendors, and technical service vendors.
- Solid experience in preventive servicing & maintenance, reliability engineering, and project coordination.
- Robust capability to operate independently.
- Capability to operate in a dynamic, high-pressure environment and prioritize your own task volume.
- Capability to build robust internal connections with within and outside the organization participants.
