Job Description

Duties

  • Under the oversight of the Assistant Country Director for Program, you will assurance the quality, significance and scaling up of the WASH program of the purpose, in conformity with ACF and international guidelines and national rules.
  • More particularly, your duty will be to:
  • Support to defining the country plan in addition to the plan and positioning of the WASH technical Department
  • Organize the recognition of needs and the formulation of project proposals
  • Supervise the execution of, and ensure status updates on, programs/projects
  • Assurance the quality and responsibility of projects
  • Ensure the active involvement of ACF in national sectoral synchronization and technical forums, and formulate sectoral strategic collaborations
  • Oversee your team: 1 Assistant Chief of Department (Direct Documentation) and
  • 4 Program Managers (Indirect Documentation)
  • Advance capitalization, technical development, analysis and creative invention inside the WASH Department

Requested profile

  • You hold a MSC in Water Engineering, Building Engineering, or Community health, and you possess over 3 years of expertise operating on water, sanitation, hygiene, and health education projects in humanitarian situations. Expertise with Action Against Hunger is highly preferred.
  • You possess demonstrated expertise and ability in coordinating large-scale WASH programs and teams, with effective guidance and comprehension of humanitarian principles, code of carry out, and specific NGO site and business positions. 
  • You possess already handled the project setup of financial plans for programs and exhibited robust proposal drafting and donor status updates competencies.
  • You are knowledgeable about WASH rules and the Nigerian purpose circumstance. You possess background operating in guard-volatile situations.
  • You are fluent in English (spoken and documented).
