Position Overview

The Accounting officer will be in charge of preserving precise finance records, getting ready financial statements, managing outstanding bills/receivable, and making sure adherence with accounting guidelines and organisation rules. The position requires robust critical thinking, honesty and reliability, and meticulousness.

Primary duties

• Preserve precise and current records of all financial financial record.
• Oversee outstanding bills and receivable; guarantee promptness payments and collections.
• Execute every month bank adjustments and track money movement.
• Organize every month, every quarter, and yearly financial statements for management evaluate.
• Help in financial planning and track spending against financial plan.
• Guarantee adherence with tax rules (PAYE, VAT, WHT) and assist audits.
• Process wage processing in partnership with the Human resources/Administrator department.
• Offer financial findings and strategic guidance to assist business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bsc in Accounting, Finance, or associated fields.
• At least 3 years’ demonstrated expertise as an Accounting officer or in a similar position.
• A member of a professional body (ICAN, ACA, or ACCA) is a plus.
• Competence in financial system (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Excel spreadsheet software.
• Robust logical and analytical abilities.
• High level of honesty and reliability, precision, and meticulousness.
