Role summary

The accounting officer will be accountable for managing financial processes, making sure legal adherence, and pushing strategic budgeting inside the financial technology ecosystem. This position needs competence in finance reporting, digital financial record, and risk mitigation strategy, while operating closely with executive guidance to assist financial increase and long-term long-term viability.

Duties

• Supervise financial processes, financial planning, and predicting for the financial technology business.
• Guarantee adherence with financial rules, which includes financial technology-specific rules (e.g., CBN, SEC, IFRS, and tax legal provisions).
• Oversee income streams from digital financial record, payments, and financial solutions.
• Formulate financial plans to enhance money movement, reduce expenses, and improve profit margin.
• Work alongside tech and cross-functional teams to combine accounting industry standards into financial operational structures.
• Supervise audits, adjustments, and financial risk evaluations.
• Formulate and oversee connections with investors, banks, and financial institutions.

Qualifications

• Bsc in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or relevant field (MSC will be an added advantage).
• A member of a professional body (ACCA, CPA, CFA, ICAN) is essential.
• At least 7 years’ expertise in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 3 years in financial technology, banking, or financial solutions.
• Solid understanding of digital payment operational structures, blockchain, or financial tech processes.
• Proven expertise in financial forecasting, risk mitigation strategy, and legal adherence.
• Competence in financial technology financial system, Enterprise platform planning operational structures, and digital banking channels.
