Linux Enablement - Software Engineering operations manager at Canonical Nigeria in Lagos

Position Overview

As a ​Software Engineering operations manager​ you will head and oversee the software engineering team to supply OEM enablement projects. This dynamic environment requires outstanding schedule control, in-depth understanding of the Linux operating system​, low-level diagnosing, critical thinking, analytical abilities and management capability.

Primary duties

• Hire, motivate, train, and enable your team to triumph in supplying quality goods
• Set targets with the team; assign priorities to tasks, recognize and measure team health indicators
• Maximise the outcomes of team members and assist their advancement
• Organize with PMs, HWE, Quality assurance and accreditation management
• Track projects from kickoff to post-mortem and manage escalations
• Convey, comprehend, and settle the technical difficulty with OEMs, ODMs, SiPs, IHVs
• Prioritize client requests internationally
• Work alongside product technical groups (which includes Desktop, Foundations, Kernel, and Guard)
• Offer direction for structured approaches, plans, guidelines, resources, and industry standards
• Must be capable to commute to the EU, USA, China, and Taiwan.
