Overview

The Audit officer will be in charge of examining and analyzing the finance records, internal regulates, and operational frameworks of Precious Palm Royal Hotel. The position ensures adherence with established guidelines, discovers discrepancies, and delivers strategic guidance for optimizing effectiveness, transparency, and responsibility.

Primary duties

  • Carry out periodic audits of balance sheet and income statement, financial records, and hotel financial record.
  • Evaluate internal regulate operational structures to recognize risks, weaknesses, and endorse corrective measures.
  • Guarantee adherence with financial rules, statutory qualifications, and corporate rules.
  • Examine unit-specific processes to verify proper use of assets and compliance to budgetary offerings.
  • Identify fraud, errors, and discrepancies in financial and business documentation.
  • Organize and show audit documentation with findings and implementable strategic guidance for executive review.
  • Check adherence with tax legal provisions and other compliance obligations.
  • Confirm precision of income collection, cash managing, and expenditure status updates.
  • Assist management in strengthening responsibility, expense management, and process effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during statutory audits and offer necessary recordkeeping.

Competencies and Expertise

  • Bsc in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
  • A member of a professional body (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • At least 3 - 5 years’ expertise in auditing, ideally in hotel management or service industry.
  • Solid understanding of auditing guidelines, accounting principles, and financial rules.
  • High honesty and reliability and specialist ethics.
  • Robust logical and investigation competencies.
  • Outstanding documentation drafting and visual communication abilities.
  • Competence in financial system and MS Workspace applications.
  • Capability to operate independently and protect privacy.
