What You’ll Do

The Chief operator will offer strategic executive guidance, lead long-term development, and supervise the daily processes of the Microfinance Bank. The GM will ensure the bank sustains legal adherence, strengthens process effectiveness, supplies outstanding client support, and achieves profit margin while upholding the institution’s purpose of financial addition.

Primary duties

• Strategic Executive guidance & Growth:
• Formulate and implement the bank’s business roadmap in line with board directives and governance policies.
• Lead the growth of loan portfolios, savings mobilization, and other financial goods.
• Recognize new market avenues and strategic collaborations to expand the bank’s reach.
• Processes & Adherence:
• Supervise day-to-day activities to guarantee effectiveness, client fulfillment, and compliance to rules.
• Guarantee adherence with CBN, NDIC, and other compliance obligations.
• Preserve robust internal regulate operational structures and risk mitigation strategy procedures.
• Finance Management:
• Track and lead financial effectiveness, making sure profit margin and cost effectiveness.
• Organize and show financial, business, and effectiveness documentation to board of directors.
• Execute efficient credit risk mitigation strategy frameworks to reduce loan defaults.
• People & Culture:
• Head, train, and build a top-performing team in sync with the bank’s purpose.
• Promote an environment that fosters responsibility, creative invention, and top-notch support dispatch.
• Establish development and development programs to build employees capacity.
• Stakeholder engagement:

Credentials & Expertise

• Bsc in Banking & Finance, Business Management, Economics, or relevant field (MSC or Master of business administration is a plus).
• At least 7 years’ expertise in banking/financial solutions, with a minimum of 3 years in top level management.
• Demonstrated expertise in microfinance or in-store banking is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of the CBN compliance structure and microfinance processes.
• Exceptional executive guidance, team lead, and strategic judgment competencies.
