Audit officer at Erisco Foods Limited in Ikeja, Lagos

Position Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and initiative-driven Audit officer to join our team. The successful applicant will be in charge of examining finance records, making sure adherence with organizational guidelines and statutory rules, and endorsing enhancements to improve effectiveness and ensure protection of organisation assets.

Primary duties

• Strategy and carry out internal audits cross-functional units to guarantee adherence with organisation rules and compliance guidelines.
• Evaluate balance sheet and income statement, cost summaries, and financial records for precision.
• Assess internal regulate operational structures, recognize weaknesses, and endorse corrective actions.
• Check adherence with tax rules and statutory qualifications.
• Organize audit documentation highlighting findings, risks, and strategic guidance.
• Check in on the execution of audit strategic guidance.
• Help management in risk mitigation strategy, fraud discovery, and process effectiveness advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Higher national diploma in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or relevant field.
• A member of a professional body (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is a plus.
• At least 3 - 5 years demonstrated expertise as an Audit officer, ideally in a production operations/FMCG environment.
• Solid understanding of auditing guidelines, financial rules, and internal regulate frameworks.
• Outstanding logical, corporate, and verbal abilities.
• High level of honesty and reliability, objectivity, and meticulousness.
