Manager, Nutrition Funding and Development at Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) in Abuja

About the Position

• GAIN is looking for a Manager, Nutrition Finance and Development to offer strategic technical direction on strengthening the design of funding initiatives to Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) and governments across various countries (Bangladesh, Benin, Pakistan and Rwanda), making sure alignment with the IFAD grant’s strategic targets. This position concentrates on leveraging funding mechanisms which includes loans, grants, and blended finance to attain maintainable nutrition results.
• The Manager will advise governments on funding needs, combine tailored financial goods, and mentor on SME lending, credit risk, and maintainable finance.
• They will build robust strategic collaborations with DFIs, financial institutions, and development entities whilst conceptualizing the capacity of country teams to productively engage with DFIs.
• This position will be presented on a two (2) year temporary agreement, subject to accessibility of financing and will be based in either Nigeria-Abuja, Kenya-Nairobi or Rwanda-Kigali.

Connection Management:

Build and preserve robust strategic collaborations possessing applicable government entities, private sector actors, financial institutions and development entities to lead maintainable, welcoming financial initiatives geared towards nutrition funding. Assist to coordinate strategic collaborations between SMEs and investors and service vendors

About You

The preferred candidate should possess demonstrable expertise operating for, or with Development Finance Institutions, regulatory bodies, international development banks, effect financial funding consultancies, or development entities in the funding and project coordination space operating on the design of grants and loans.
