Job Description
Duties
- Oversee and organize a team of fitters and welding technicians, monitoring all appropriate and fabrication duty on the remote marine operations installation.
- Read and analyze thorough engineering drawings, P&IDs, and isometric drawings to strategy and implement appropriate work.
- Make sure that all appropriate initiatives, which includes material layout, cutting, shaping, and suit-up, comply firmly to project quality qualifications and safety procedures.
- Carry out consistent inspections of work in advancement to guarantee precise dimensions, proper alignment, and adherence with requirements.
- Organize with the Quality assurance-Quality control Manager and Welding Foreman to guarantee that all suit-up work is prepared for welding and meets all necessary tolerances.
- Oversee the distribution of resources, materials, and staff to enhance process and meet project plans.
- Track and track the advancement of all appropriate initiatives, status updates on routine accomplishments and any concerns or setbacks.
- Offer technical direction and on-the-position development to the appropriate team to enhance competencies and ensure accurate standardized processes are followed.
- Make sure that all staff under your oversight are following proper health and safety protocols, which includes the use of personal protective tools (PPE) and supporting licenses.
- Demonstrate leadership to promote a robust safety culture and verify that every team members comprehend their duties.
- Preserve precise records of all appropriate initiatives, which includes material traceability and dimensional regulate documentation.
- Organize with other trades and supervisors on the operational base to guarantee a smooth process.
Qualifications
- Education/A member of a professional body: Applicable technical certification or trade certification in appropriate or a relevant field.
- At least 8 years of expertise in appropriate and fabrication, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position.
- Specific Bonga Marine-based field exposure is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in a range of appropriate duty, which includes pipe and structural steel suit-up, in different materials (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel).
- Must hold valid remote marine operations qualifications which includes BOSIET, HUET, and a valid medical certification.
- Specialist capability to read and analyze sophisticated engineering drawings, P&IDs, and isometric sketches.
- Effective guidance and team leadership abilities to direct and motivate a crew of fitters.
- Deep understanding of industry codes, guidelines (e.g., ASME, API), and quality assurance standardized processes connected with suit-up.
- Outstanding analytical abilities to diagnose issues appropriate concerns and guarantee standard.
- Effective communication competencies to productively documentation advancement and organize with other teams.
- Capability to operate under pressure and deliver within strict timelines in a difficult remote marine operations environment.
