Job Description

Duties

  • Oversee and organize a team of electrical technicians, monitoring all electrical duty on the remote marine operations installation.
  • Read and analyze thorough electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical documented guides to strategy and implement electrical work.
  • Make sure that all electrical initiatives, which includes the installation of cables, lighting, panels, and motors, comply firmly to project quality qualifications and safety procedures.
  • Carry out consistent inspections of electrical work in advancement and finished system setups to guarantee adherence with guidelines and to recognize any possibility faults.
  • Organize with the Quality assurance-Quality control Manager to coordinate inspections and the concluding sign-off of finished work.
  • Oversee the distribution of resources, tools, and staff to enhance process and meet project plans.
  • Track and track the advancement of all electrical initiatives, status updates on routine accomplishments and any concerns or setbacks.
  • Offer technical direction and on-the-position development to the electrical team to enhance competencies and ensure accurate standardized processes are followed.
  • Make sure that all staff under your oversight are following proper health and safety protocols, which includes the use of personal protective tools (PPE) and supporting licenses.
  • Demonstrate leadership to promote a robust safety culture and verify that every team members comprehend their duties.
  • Preserve precise records of all electrical initiatives, which includes tools installation data records and servicing & maintenance documentation.
  • Organize with other trades and supervisors on the operational base to guarantee a smooth process.

Qualifications

  • Education / A member of a professional body: Applicable technical certification or trade certification in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 8 years of expertise in electrical installation and servicing & maintenance, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Specific Bonga Marine-based field exposure is essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise with a range of electrical tools, which includes switchgear, transformers, motors, and regulate operational structures.
  • Must hold valid remote marine operations qualifications which includes BOSIET, OSP, and a valid medical certification.
  • Specialist capability to read and analyze sophisticated electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documented guides.
  • Effective guidance and team leadership abilities to direct and motivate a crew of electrical technicians.
  • Deep understanding of industry codes, guidelines (e.g., IEC, NEC), and quality assurance standardized processes connected with electrical work.
  • Outstanding analytical abilities to diagnose issues electrical concerns and guarantee standard.
  • Effective communication competencies to productively documentation advancement and organize with other teams.
  • Capability to operate under pressure and deliver within strict timelines in a difficult remote marine operations environment.
