Chief of operations and Logistics at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc in Apapa, Lagos

Objective

To head operations excellency across ARMS managing the comprehensive dispatch of grains and unedited materials from local suppliers to warehouses and silos, and onward to user factories. The position ensures alignment with various Business Units (BUs), sets up solid procedure regulates to eliminate differences in stock regulate, logistics implementation, and leads cost-efficient, dependable processes that meet business needs and participant requirements.

The Position

• Design and execute organized operational frameworks to guarantee uniformity, traceability, and regulate across procurement, warehousing, and dispatch. Optimizing process effectiveness to reduce cost-to-serve and eliminate process-associated losses.
• Establish and track SOPs for material movement, recordkeeping, and QA from supplier to final user. Reduce inventory discrepancies, leakages, and compose-offs through robust process regulates.
• Coordinate with BU Heads to align on unedited material needs, timelines, and requirements before procurement is launched. Improve warehouse utilization and stock turnover to assist operating capital targets.
• Act as the central synchronization point between procurement teams, warehouse processes, and user factories to guarantee smooth dispatch. Supply cost savings through initiative-driven organizing and supplier synchronization.
• Supervise the aggregation and dispatch of grains from local suppliers to appointed warehouses and silos.
• Guarantee promptness and precise dispatch from storage sites to user factories, preserving performance threshold agreements and fulfillment indicators.
• Track business KPIs which includes dispatch precision and timelines, cost effectiveness, stock precision, and user factory fulfillment.
• Offer consistent documentation to the Chief operator ARMS and Chief of Stock Chain on functional performance and advancement strategies.
• Build a competent processes team with clear position duties across procurement, warehousing, and synchronization.
• Lead responsibility and partnership across within and outside the organization participants.
• Oversee staff effectiveness, relation, and preparedness for purpose-critical positions.

Credentials / Expertise

 Bsc in Logistics, Agriculture or relevant field. At least 8 years’ expertise in processes, logistics/warehouse or associated in FMCG

The Person Must:

• Possess demonstrated expertise in spoiling materials management and farm-to-factory logistics processes.
• Be skilled in Enterprise platform planning operational structures, with expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 being highly advantageous.
• Possess robust stakeholder engagement, bargain, and building relationship competencies with vendors, suppliers, aggregators, and freight forwarders.
