About the Position

To formulate and oversee a dependable lending operational base across Africa, in a manner that aids smooth transitioning of Lenders from the traditional lending model to digital, thereby empowering financial institutions to examine the power of Financial technology to assist business scalability, and boosted market distribute. This is enabled through the offering of unique solutions which includes electronic channels, dependable data, disbursement, and collection solutions to assist the automated credit underwriting process.

Duties

  • Looks for out and forges connections with credit service vendors, banks, aggregators, and possibility allies that can assist grow and enrich the lending solutions proposition of Interswitch.
  • Conceptualizes business value propositions for lending solutions, which includes nano and micro credit processing initiatives presented by Interswitch.
  • Grows the business into new client and market segments in line with organisation plan.
  • Uses defined Key Effectiveness Indicators to track credit business effectiveness and market distribute.
  • Delivers business case documents for the development of new product or service offerings.
  • Conceptualizes proposals in response to RFPs and supplies credit business sales demonstrations.
  • Executes seminars and engages in sessions with customers, external vendors, or consultants.
  • Team up possessing applicable Interswitch teams to assist newly obtained clients through the transition from project finalization to transaction production.
  • Defines and sets business development and income targets for the unit and subordinates.
  • Observes team initiatives to guarantee budgeted income and service targets are accomplished.
  • Evaluation credit business effectiveness and conceptualizes tactical programs to bridge recognized differences using data from the lending solutions portal.
  • Communicates client qualifications to the Product, Processes, and Project teams to guarantee dispatch aligns with binding terms.
  • Ensures adherence of the team with Interswitch’s business development and account management rules and standardized processes.
  • Assessments lawful recordkeeping with potential associates or clients to close sales or formulate new business.
  • Outlines MOUs, NDAs, SLAs, and OLAs for evaluate and entry to the Compliance department.
  • Aids project setup of balance sheet and income statement and projections.
  • Executes market analysis and evaluation; observes within and outside the organization environments for new market development avenues (consistent, micro, and nano loan goods).
  • Helps in conceptualizing client assessment methods and delivers response to the Chief, Credit Business for market-in sync product development.
  • Stays abreast of practices in payment tech, digital credit initiatives, and micro/nano loan product procedures.
  • Receives and utilises credit client response for ongoing development of goods and solutions.
  • Executes aftersales collaborations by visiting clients to collect service excellence findings.
  • Observes and tracks contesting goods and market initiatives.
  • Collects intelligence on contest regarding pricing, customer experience, local market presence, strategic collaborations, and credibility.
  • Documents and sustains rival evaluation findings for the division.
  • Coordinates every quarter rival evaluation assessments.
  • Arranges and sends periodic activity documentation to the Chief, Credit Business for strategic judgment.
  • Manages all questions from credit clients or associates.

Expertise: General Expertise:

At least 10 years of comprehensive expertise in business development positions, preferably within reputable financial institutions or the payments industry, which includes a minimum of 8 years of client-facing and lending solutions expertise in the Financial technology space.

Executive Expertise:

At least 5 years of expertise in organizing, coordinating, and arranging teams and assets within defined timelines and organisational rules to attain specific results.
