Role summary
We are looking for an skilled and initiative-driven Health, safety, and environment Manager to supervise and ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Ecological rules across our processes. The preferred candidate will guarantee adherence with compliance guidelines, advance a robust safety culture, and lead ongoing development in Health, safety, and environment effectiveness, especially in site and remote marine operations processes.
Duties
- Execute, track, and ensure adherence to Health, safety, and environment rules, standardized processes, and rules across all worksites.
- Carry out consistent on-site inspections, audits, and risk evaluations to guarantee adherence and recognize risks.
- Head system issue inquiries and organize documentation with corrective and preventive actions.
- Formulate and supply Health, safety, and environment induction and capacity-building plans for employees and service providers.
- Ensure proper recordkeeping of all Health, safety, and environment initiatives and adherence with local/international guidelines.
- Coordinate with compliance-related bodies, customers, and service providers on Health, safety, and environment matters.
- Advance a positive safety culture through relation and consciousness marketing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree/Higher national diploma in Ecological Science, Engineering, Work-related Health & Safety, or relevant field.
- At least 5 years Health, safety, and environment expertise in the petroleum sector servicing sector, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership position.
- Specialist qualifications which includes NEBOSH, IOSH, ISPON, or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of Nigerian and international Health, safety, and environment compliance guidelines.
- Clear articulation, executive guidance, and status updates competencies.
- Capability to operate productively in site/remote marine operations environments.
