Role summary
- The Regional Fleet Organizer is in charge of organizing fleet processes and product allocation to concluding destinations.
- The position comprises issuing loading tickets, tracking trucks through TMS, coordinating coverage requests, monitoring driver retention programs, enforcing drug and alcohol rules, making sure prompt servicing & maintenance and truck repairs, pushing routine Health, safety, and environment adherence, managing driver development, coordinating driver information exchange, and evaluating calibration charts through data capturing, evaluation, and status updates.
- The key duty is to guarantee efficient product allocation while minimizing in-transit losses.
- The Fleet Organizer must be technology-savvy, with the capability to use online platforms and fleet management operational structures to improve process effectiveness, enhance tracking precision, and assist analytics-based strategic judgment.
Duties Truck Management:
- Manages routine modify record of accessible trucks in transit, and fleet to dispatch goods nationwide from third-party depots
- Ensures adequate inventory settlement in all 3rd party depots
- Ensure drivers adhere with organisation rules and standardized processes for product transit or dispatch
- Track the truck in transit to the destination and back to the loading terminal as part of the logistics processes
- Keeps a routine modify record of accessible trucks and fleet to dispatch goods nationwide.
- Ensures the truck data (driver description, permits, plate numbers, GIT, particulars, etc.) is current in the NMDPRA DB.
- Client engagement to guarantee LT ( loading tickets ) are authorized on the portal and trucks are proceeding to load
- Ensure safe product allocation to clients to meet the routine strategy from the 3rd-party depots
- Uninterrupted monitoring of truck assessment of vendor fleet
Truck Mobilization:
- Track productive product allocation across all regions
- Evaluate product allocation on all product lines
- Assist the assessment/witness and confirmation of calibration methods to guarantee zero error
- Accomplish thorough routine/every month accident/system failure/Sanction documentation
- Engage Within and outside the organization participants to guarantee smooth truck mobilization, Supervising/Tracking/dispatch
- Make sure that drivers adhere with organisation HSQE procedures
Safety / OHSMS:
- Ensures adherence with all safety, ecological, and corporate rules and standardized processes
- Ensures safety guidelines are fulfilled by all staff and service providers linked to the fuel transportation fleet, monitoring of hauling fleet requirement, and vendor safety effectiveness
- Adherence with MRS OHS regulatory framework, standard procedures, SOPs
- Adherence with the use of PPE
- Work safely and ensure others work safely
- Ensure good room maintenance services
- Ensure near misses and accidents are reported to Health, safety, and environment
Qualifications
- A good first Academic qualification, ideally in the Community-related Sciences, Management Sciences, or Arts
- A post-graduate academic qualification in Business Management or Logistics & supply Management or Processes Analysis, or shipping is a plus.
- A specialist certification in Buying and Stock or Logistics Management.
- Atleast seven years’ expertise in Logistics & supply Management in an petroleum sector environment.
- Possesses well-rounded expertise in haulage management in the petroleum sector downstream industry
- Must possess vast expertise in government affairs (especially NMDPRA, NIMASA, NNPC, etc.)
- Must possess adequate expertise in coordinating work relations (especially with NUPENG, PENGASSAN, etc.)
