Job Description

Assigned tasks and Duties

  • Organize, strategize and supply premium quality lessons in Physics and Mathematics in accordance with the school syllabus and examination board guidelines (e.g., WAEC, NECO, or equivalent).
  • Formulate schemes of work, lesson notes, training helps, and learning materials to meet students’ learning needs and abilities.
  • Utilize a range of training structured approaches, which includes interactive and practical approaches, to improve student comprehension and retention.
  • Offer differentiated guidance to cater for students with multifaceted learning abilities.
  • Carry out strategic trials and exhibitions in Physics to advance experiential and practical learning.
  • Allocate, grade, and offer input on classwork, homework, tests, and projects to assess student effectiveness and advancement.
  • Organize students for within and outside the organization examinations through targeted guidance, adjustment, and practice.
  • Preserve precise records of students’ academic effectiveness, presence, and conductual advancement.
  • Offer periodic advancement documentation and response to parents/guardians during launch days or planned sessions.
  • Motivate, train, and mentor students to attain their full academic possibility.
  • Recognize and assist students with learning difficulties or exceptional skills in Physics and Mathematics.
  • Engage in unit-specific and employees sessions, syllabus organizing, and school development programs.
  • Preserve classroom discipline and ensure a safe, stimulating, and conducive learning environment.
  • Stay informed with ongoing practices in Physics, Mathematics, and pedagogy through uninterrupted career advancement.
  • Work alongside teammates to advance cross-curricular learning.
  • Execute other obligations as allocated by the Chief of Department or School Management.

Role expectations

  • A First Academic qualification Holder, Bsc in Physics, Mathematics, Education (or relevant field).
  • At least 1 - 2 years educational background experience in Physics and Mathematics at high school grade.
  • Expertise getting ready students for external examinations (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent).
  • Competence in application of ICT resources for training and learning (PowerPoint, simulations, virtual labs, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of Physics and Mathematics notions and curricula.
  • Outstanding classroom management and verbal abilities.
  • Capability to motivate, motivate, and positively shape students.
  • Robust corporate, schedule control, and document-keeping abilities.
  • Enthusiasm for training and dedication to student success.
  • Logical and analytical abilities.
  • A team player with a cooperative approach to training.
