Eco-social Protections Evaluator at the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) in Abuja

The Position

• UNOPS is looking for to participate an Ecological & Community-related Protections Expert as for the project period.
• The Expert will work from the UNOPS Workspace in Abuja, and should be readied to commute to any on-site in or around the Project in Nigeria.
• She/He will collaborate with an Ecological protections Adviser and a Community-related Protections Adviser, and will answer to the Manager, project.

Qualifications Education:

An improved-level academic qualification (Master's or higher Academic qualification) in Ecological or Community-related Science or a related field is essential. First Level Academic qualification (Bsc) in Ecological or Community-related Science or related field in integration with additional two (2) years of related experience may be assessed in lieu of the Improved Level Tertiary institution outlined above.

Work Expertise:

• At least 2 years of related experience in Ecological or Community-related protections is essential.
• Out of the 2 years related experience above; 
• A minimum of 1 year must be in the execution of ecological and/or community-related protections resources.
• A minimum of 1 year with the World Bank Eco-social Structure (ESF) or the European Financial funding Bank’s E&S Structure.
• Expertise operating on rural structure projects is an asset.
• Competence in computers and workspace software bundles (eg. Google Workspace Suite or Google Workspace) and expertise in managing online-enabled management operational structures is a distinct advantage.
• Clear articulation competencies, (both verbal and documented) is a distinct advantage.

Language Requirement:

Full practical understanding of the English language is essential.
