Logistics Driver at Straight-Gate Publishers Limited in Ibadan, Oyo

Position Overview

We are looking for a dependable and skilled Logistics Driver to assist the prompt and safe dispatch of records and publishing materials to our clients, sales points, and allocation channels. The preferred candidate will be in charge of managing logistics processes productively while preserving competence and care in the dispatch of our goods.

Primary duties

• Lead organisation vehicles to supply records and materials to appointed sites across various regions.
• Guarantee promptness pick-up and drop-off of goods, materials, and employees as allocated.
• Load and unload items carefully, making sure proper managing of publishing materials.
• Preserve precise dispatch data records, trip sheets, and documentation dispatch status routine.
• Carry out standard procedure vehicle checks and ensure cleanliness, fuel, and roadworthiness at all times.
• Promptly documentation any mechanical concerns, setbacks, or road incidents to the Logistics coordinator.
• Help with warehouse processes when necessary.
• Adhere with all traffic legal provisions, organisation rules, and safety rules.
• Stand for the organization with a courteous and specialist mindset at all times.

OR

National Certification (ND) / National Certification in educational studies (NCE)

Expertise:

At least 4 years pushing expertise, ideally in a similar logistics or dispatch position.

Authorizing & Competencies:

• Must have a valid Driving permit
• Expertise in key roads and routes across Nigeria (especially within Ibadan)
• Capability to use Google Maps or navigation resources (preferred)
• Basic vehicle servicing & maintenance expertise
• Effective communication and schedule control competencies
• Physical fitness and readiness to lift or move loads as required.

Operating Terms:

May engage inter-state commute, early morning dispatch, or weekend dispatch plans May help with physical allocation or warehouse-associated duty
