Driver at Danish Refugee Council (DRC) in Abuja

Objective

The role of Driver is a critical role inside the DRC Abuja workspace, with main duties of pushing and managing DRC vehicles in a safe, proper, prompt and cost-productive manner within Abuja and assist in site workspaces when needed.

Necessary Credentials

• At least OND or equivalent in applicable field.
• At least 3 years’ specialist pushing expertise, ideally with an INGO - humanitarian company in Abuja.
• Valid driving permit for applicable vehicle categories.
• Good expertise in routes within Abuja and capability to use Google Maps or other navigation resources.
• Deep knowledge of local traffic rules and road safety procedures.
• Capability to deliver basic vehicle checks and standard procedure servicing & maintenance.
• Robust document-keeping competencies for preserving precise logbooks.
• Physically suit and capable to help with loading and offloading goods.
• Effective communication competencies and capability to preserve uninterrupted reach out with the base during trips.
• Dedication to secrecy, honesty and reliability, and compliance to DRC’s Code of Carry out.
• Adaptive schedule and readiness to commute to site sites in sometimes difficult terms.

Languages:

English (Fluent) – Hausa is a plus.
