Head of financial operations at Palmpay Limited in Lagos

Position Overview

The Head of financial operations will be accountable for managing all financial processes of PalmPay in Nigeria, which includes strategic budgeting, financial planning, risk mitigation strategy, and adherence. This individual will offer direction to the finance team, execute productive operational structures, and ensure the organization’s financial long-term viability in alignment with business targets.

Team lead & Development:

• Head, train, and formulate a top-performing finance and accounting team
• Promote an environment that fosters responsibility, precision, and ongoing development
• Ensure the team is equipped with the latest resources, expertise, and procedures in finance Management.

Participant Relation:

• Collaborate with the CEO, Group CFO, and other senior leaders on strategic programs
• Coordinate with banks, investors, auditors, and compliance-related bodies
• Assist capital raising, financial funding appraisals, and strategic collaboration talks.

Credentials & Qualifications

• Bsc in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a relevant field
• Professional certification which includes ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CFA necessary
• At least 10 years’ progressive expertise in finance, with a minimum of 5 years in a top level leadership position—ideally in financial technology, banking, or financial solutions
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, tax rules, and adherence in Nigeria
• Established history in budgeting, evaluation, and strategic implementation
• Exceptional executive guidance, information exchange, and people skills
• Strong capability in financial operational structures, Enterprise platform planning resources, and Excel spreadsheet software.
