Job Description

Objective of the Role

The Information Management Officer will be in charge of assisting the development, customization, and management of digital applications, databases, and dashboards for GPON program. This comprises designing and preserving data operational structures, generating logical goods, and making sure data is collected, stored, and visualized in ways that assist program execution, supervising, status updates, and strategic judgment.

DB & Dashboard Management:

  • Build, modify, and preserve program databases.
  • Formulate and preserve interactive dashboards (using Power BI, Tableau, or similar) for instantaneous data visualization.
  • Verify that every data operational structures adhere with GPON’s information security and secrecy procedures.

Data Collection & Evaluation:

  • Assist the design of data collection resources using channels which includes KoboToolbox, ODK, and SurveyCTO.
  • Carry out data cleaning, confirmation, and evaluation for program supervising and status updates.
  • Generate consistent data visuals, maps, and data overviews for management, donors, and associates.

Anticipated Outputs:

  • Business and routinely current program databases.
  • Operational and user-friendly GPON data collection applications.
  • A minimum of two instantaneous dashboards for program effectiveness tracking.
  • Every month data and data analysis documentation for management and donors.
  • At least two employees development sessions per quarterly on data resources.

Credentials and Expertise

  • Bsc in Computer Science, Information Tech, Statistics, or a relevant field.
  • At least 3 years’ expertise in information management and/or application development.
  • Proficient abilities in a minimum of one programming language (PHP, JavaScript, Python, Flutter, or similar).
  • Expertise with database administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar).
  • Competence in data visualization resources (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Expertise with digital data collection channels (KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO).
  • Good comprehension of humanitarian or development program data needs.

Preferred:

  • Expertise in Geographic information system mapping (ArcGIS, QGIS).
  • Expertise in Education in Crises (EiE) or Child Protection data operational structures.
  • Understanding with cloud organizing channels (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
