Medical Lab technician at Tryve and Associates - 3 Openings in Nigeria

Duties

• Proper collection and labelling of patient specimens and carry out pre-logical standardized processes using proper methods.
• Project setup of media, project setup and staining of blood films and basic serological screening.
• Precise recording and prompt status updates of test outcomes to physicians or directing laboratory scientists
• Follow standard operating standardized processes (SOPs) and safety standard procedures to prevent pollution and ensure precise outcomes.
• Verify that every tools is properly calibrated, preserved, and sterilized in accordance with lab procedures.
• Preserve stock of laboratory inventory and request replenishment as necessary.
• Dispose of biohazardous waste properly and ensure cleanliness of work zones.
• Engage in quality assurance and external QA programs.
• Keep all patient and laboratory data private, in accordance with healthcare rules.
• Offer support to the lab scientists in various processes of the laboratory.

Credentials and Expertise

• National Certification or Associate’s Academic qualification in Medical Laboratory Tech from a identified teaching institution.
• A minimum of 3 years of applicable and practical expertise operating as a Lab Technician in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting.
• Valid and current registration and accreditation as a Medical Lab technician from a identified specialist company.
• Must have a valid and ongoing practicing permit
• Practical expertise in blood banking is a plus.

Skills:

• Clear articulation and people skills.
• Expertise in laboratory standardized processes and use of diagnostic tools.
• Meticulousness and robust planning abilities.
• Skilled in MS Workspace, especially Word and Excel.
• Basic computer competencies for records entry/capture and lab status updates.

Compensation

Remuneration: N75,000 - N100,000 Every month (Negotiable). Transaction-Based Fee (self-produced) up to 5 percent (5%).
