Core Banking Application Engineer at Source Microfinance Bank Limited in Lagos, Nigeria

Job Description

Design, formulate, and execute new capabilities and capability for the core banking system using Apache Fineract and Mifos.
Customize and set up the channels to match with specific organizational needs, processes, and compliance guidelines.
Combine the core banking system with other internal and third-party operational structures, which includes payment gateways, CRM, and analytics platforms.
Execute code assessments, diagnose issues concerns, and offer IT assistance for the core banking operational base.
Work alongside PMs, business analysts, and other engineers to convert organizational needs into technical requirements.
Preserve and modify recordkeeping for the core banking system, which includes technical architecture and execution advisors.
Ensure the guard, reliability, and effectiveness of the core banking application.

Demonstrated expertise in software development, with a solid experience in building and preserving enterprise-level applications.
Direct expertise with Apache Fineract or Mifos is highly preferred.
Competence in Java, Spring Structure, and RESTful APIs.
Deep knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and expertise with DB design.
Understanding with financial solutions, core banking notions, and associated operational workflows.
Expertise with front-end technical solutions (e.g. Angular) will be an added advantage.
Outstanding analytical abilities and the capability to operate independently in a dynamic environment.
Clear expression and partnership competencies to operate productively with cross-operational teams.
